RFW Club Stargazing for Starlight Wishes Granted
As you have read on the first page of the web site, we have postponed our major trip around Australia in June 2007.
This was a great disappointment to both Brian and myself, we and many others had worked very hard to get this trip up and running but unfortunately due to the current financial climate sponsors were very hard to find.
With two motorcycles and a support vehicle costs were rising daily for fuel and no fuel companies were prepared to help fund the trip.
We had no contact from Suzuki re servicing etc on our trip, we must point out that we purchased our machines from Suzuki we were not given them free.
Accommodation costs were also rising and again very hard to find sponsors for this.
Of course we could have raised the money from our astronomy nights but we felt that all that money should go to Starlight and not used for the trip.
Thank you to everyone that has donated money and let me say every cent has gone to make wishes come true for kids and their families.
However all is not lost we are now concentrating on raising money for Starlight here in WA over the next year and will start on some amazing trips next year that will now involve more bikes, more riders and even more towns visited. So as they say WATCH THIS SPACE...........
